Great concert!
No need to add more than a hearty "I agree" to the previous reviewer's remarks, except for this: check out some of the fall '09 posts on Sweet Addy's "Up Yer Files" thread for '99 Quasi-backed concerts of *amazing* sound quality. I hope the links still work!

Subject:
Best Live Recording w/ Quasi Backing
These two back-to-back shows at the 400 Club (looks like only one is available here, but the subsequent night is equal in quality and even better in some aspects of performance) represent the best live recordings available from this tour, with the excellent Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss from Quasi backing. There's an energy and enthusiasm here that's often lacking in the larger Figure-8-era band lineup, with the "hometown" PDX Roseland show being a notable exception and essential download. The Figure-8 shows are highly polished affairs, but, to my ear at least, the Quasi ones had a better, more intimate "trio" vibe, the sound of friends touring and playing together. And that feeling comes through strongly here.
